Ulcinj is served by three airports. Podgorica (TGD) is the closest at about 80 km / 90 minutes; Tirana (TIA) in Albania is roughly 2 hours away and often has the cheapest flights; Dubrovnik (DBV) in Croatia is about 3 hours including the border. From Podgorica Airport (TGD)
By car: take the E65/E80 towards Bar, pass through the Sozina tunnel (toll about €2.50) and continue along the coast road to Ulcinj — around 1 h 30 min. Rental cars from all major companies are at the terminal. By taxi: expect €70–90 to Ulcinj; agree the price before departure or ask us for a fixed-price transfer. By bus: a taxi (10 min) or local bus to Podgorica bus station, then a coach to Ulcinj (2–2.5 h, several times a day, about €7–8).
From Tirana Airport (TIA)
By car: about 130 km / 2 hours via Lezhë and Shkodër to the Muriqan–Sukobin border crossing, then 25 minutes to Ulcinj. Check that your rental allows cross-border travel. By transfer: our driver can meet you at Tirana arrivals (around €100–120 per car). By bus: coaches from Tirana to Shkodër run hourly; from Shkodër there are daily buses and shared taxis to Ulcinj.
From Dubrovnik Airport (DBV)
By car: about 180 km / 3 hours along the coast through the Debeli Brijeg border, past Herceg Novi and around the Bay of Kotor (or the short Kamenari–Lepetane ferry), then Budva – Bar – Ulcinj. Allow extra time for the border in July and August. Private transfers cost around €200 per car; buses run Dubrovnik – Budva – Bar with a change for Ulcinj.
Arriving in Ulcinj
The hotel is on the road between the town centre and Velika Plaža, with free private parking. Check-in is from 14:00 and reception is open 24 hours, so late flights are no problem — just let us know your arrival time. Our online pre-check-in link saves time at the desk.
Good to know
Podgorica is the shortest drive. Tirana often has cheaper flights and is only about 30 minutes further; Dubrovnik is a good choice if you want to see the Bay of Kotor on the way.
